Tourism is Back
The tourism we want: fair and sustainable tourism for all.
The second edition of the International Week of Fair and Sustainable Tourism for All has just been held. The conferences took place virtually between June 22 and 25, 2021 and people from all continents participated.
ESIT is very pleased to have served ISTO and MINCETUR, organizers of this week’s conference, with its English, French and Spanish interpreters.
The International Social Tourism Organization (ISTO), in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism of Peru (MINCETUR), organized this week of conferences focused on the subject «Transforming and Improving World Tourism.»
The first date was dedicated to the ISTO General Assembly and the following three dates convened 48 experts from 18 different countries, who dealt with the recovery of the tourism industry after the Coronavirus health crisis, tourism accessible to low-income people and people with disabilities and special needs, community tourism, as well as tourism marketing and innovation, including a look at this year’s and upcoming tourism trends.
Fair and sustainable tourism for all «incorporates a very broad value chain, focused on people, which is what contributes to the future and leaves no one behind, one that works for tourism to be inclusive and for all the people to exercise their right to quality leisure time with a strong emphasis on sustainable and fairer development, ” in the words of Isabel Novoa, ISTO’s Chair.
